Two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo were all Juventus needed to outscore stubborn Parma in Sunday’s tough Serie A clash.
The victory helped Juventus open a four point lead over Inter Milan who failed to beat Lecce earlier.
Ronaldo gave his side the lead in the 43rd minute after dribbling past two defenders before unleashing the shot which was deflected into the net.
Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey tried doubling the lead but his efforts went inches wide from the post after which the referee signaled the end of the half.
In the second half, Paulo Dybala and Danilo combined to add to the tally but the Brazilian’s shot was saved by the Luigi Sepe.
Parma’s confidence grew as the game went on as they got a stunning goal from Andreas Cornelius in the 55th minute.
Cornelius, headed Parma back into the game after rising up high to connect with a corner kick from the right flank.
Three minutes later, Paulo Dybala set-up Ronaldo with a clinical pass before the Portuguese forward powered a close-range shot to seal the victory for Juventus.
Juventus ended the match 2-1 as they continue their charge to win their ninth straight Serie A title.
